Firmware updates can be applied to MAX Base Stations through the device’s local web interface. (Currently, Room Alert Discovery utility can find <\/strong>MAX devices, but not <\/strong>update them. Room Alert Link and Room Alert Manager do not have support for MAX devices.<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may download the latest MAX firmware file from your account at RoomAlert.com. This FAQ shows you how: How to Download Firmware & Software From Your RoomAlert.com Account<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow these instructions to update your device’s firmware:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. First, open the Base Station’s web interface.
    You may do this by typing its IP address directly into your browser’s URL.

  2. Log In to the web interface.
    For help, please see     How To Access A Room Alert Monitor\u2019s Password-Protected Pages<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Navigate to Settings<\/strong> \u2192 Maintenance<\/strong>.

  4. In Firmware Updates<\/em>, you’ll find a link to the MAX firmware release notes<\/a> on AVTECH.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. In Currently Running<\/em>, you’ll see the firmware version currently applied to the device\n

    • Below that is a form for uploading new firmware files.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • To upload new firmware, first click Choose File<\/strong>, and browse to the firmware file you downloaded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Then select Upload<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • A window will pop up that shows a progress bar. \n

      • It may take several minutes for the firmware update process to complete. Please don’t refresh the page during this process. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
