For more information, please see the \u201cTypes of user roles\u201d section of our FAQ,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/23734\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account<\/a>.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Alerts<\/strong> from the navigation bar to the left.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>New Alert<\/strong> to start the process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next, select your sensor(s).<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>In the <strong>Sensors<\/strong> section, review the table of available readings.\n<ul>\n<li>Each row represents a single reading from a sensor.<br>(For example, a standard Temperature &amp; Humidity sensor will include readings for temperature, humidity, heat index, dew point, and push status.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) Use filters to narrow down the list and find the reading you&#8217;re looking for.\n<ul>\n<li>Use the <strong>pagination controls<\/strong> above the table or the <strong>settings (cog icon)<\/strong> to adjust how many results are displayed and which columns are visible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>plus (+) icon<\/strong> next to a reading to add it to your alert.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the selected sensors in the panel above the table:\n<ul>\n<li>A graph shows the last 24 hours of data for each selected sensor.\n<ul>\n<li>If a sensor doesn&#8217;t have 24 hours of data logged (for example, if it&#8217;s been unplugged), that&#8217;s ok; you can still create an alert for it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After selecting your first sensor, the table will filter to show only readings of the same type.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional for Enterprise level accounts and higher) Select additional sensors.\n<ul>\n<li>Click <strong>Add All<\/strong> to select all sensors displayed on the current page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>minus (\u2013) icon<\/strong> to remove any sensor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Then, define your thresholds.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Choose how your threshold will be applied:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Independent<\/strong> \u2013 Each alert has its own threshold that can be edited individually later.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shared<\/strong> \u2013 A reusable threshold that updates all linked alerts when edited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define your threshold conditions (operator and value), or select a saved threshold.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next, configure alert actions.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this section, define who gets notified and how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A. Create or select a notification group<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Select an existing <strong>Notification Group<\/strong> or click <strong>Create New Group<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>If you&#8217;re creating a new group, add as many recipients as you want in a single notification group.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may add notification methods like emailing a user or another email address, sending SMS to a user with mobile number saved to their account, sending push notifications to a user with the mobile app installed, and sending an HTTP Post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your account is at the Professional level or higher, you may also optionally configure the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Configure the action to repeat while an alert remains triggered and unacknowledged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply a saved or new Quiet Time Schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply a saved or new Message Template.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">B. Add additional notification groups.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If your account is at the Professional level or higher, you may repeat step A to add additional actions to your alert.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finally, define your alert details.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Enter or edit the <strong>Alert Name<\/strong> (a suggested naming convention is provided).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add <strong>Tags<\/strong> (for example, \u201cWarning\u201d).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm or adjust the <strong>Time Zone<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) Additional sensor readings can be added later for context.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lastly, review and create your alert(s).<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Review the summary of alerts that will be created.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If changes are needed, click <strong>Go back and make changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Create Alerts<\/strong> to save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can watch a video demonstration below: You may create alerts for your Room Alert Monitor in your Room Alert Account by following the same basic workflow each time: Follow the instructions in the tabs below to create an alert through your Room Alert Account: First, start a new alert.
