If Room Alert Discovery is closed and reopened, the credentials do not persist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To do so, select the <strong>&#8230;<\/strong> beside your device, choose <strong>Update Credentials<\/strong>, and save your device&#8217;s username &amp; password.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"255\" height=\"91\" class=\"wp-image-22825\" style=\"width: 200px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/RAD_UpdateCreds.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To save the same set of credentials for multiple devices, you can instead use the<strong> Save Credentials<\/strong>&#8230; option in the <em>Bulk Device Actions<\/em> drop-down menu.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"195\" height=\"152\" class=\"wp-image-22826\" style=\"width: 185px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/RAD_SaveCreds.png\" alt=\"\">\n<ul>\n<li>Then use the<strong> Test Credentials<\/strong>&#8230; You must also be running Link v1.3.0 or higher.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Updating this way requires Room Alert Link software. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can also initiate firmware updates directly from Room Alert Link&#8217;s local web interface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you begin<\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#bcc3cd;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#d6dde7;border-color:#ffffff;color:#305d8c;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\">\n\n\n\n<p>The Room Alert you wish to update must meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>It is discovered by the Link software installed on a computer on your network.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is registered in RoomAlert.com.\n<ul>\n<li><em>This is necessary to perform remote updates through your Room Alert Account.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>If you have not already done so, set up a Room Alert Link. Go to <strong>Settings<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>Manual Discovery<\/strong> in your local Link to do so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For next steps, select one of the tabs below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-accordion su-u-trim\"><div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"remote\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Remote update through RoomAlert.com<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n\n\n\n<p>In your RoomAlert.com account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Devices<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>Room Alert Link<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>name of your Link<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Confirm that <em>Connection to RoomAlert.com<\/em> displays &#8220;Connected.&#8221; This means your local installation of Link is communicating with your RoomAlert.com account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, in the <em>Locally discovered devices<\/em> list, check for a <em>Register<\/em> button next to the unit you wish to update.\n<ul>\n<li>If you see that button, click it to register that device to your RoomAlert.com account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you don&#8217;t see that button, that device is already registered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once your Room Alert is registered, you may initiate updates to your unit remotely through your RoomAlert.com account. (If you don&#8217;t have access to a different browser, you may rename the extension of the .zip file to .upd.)<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Update to the latest version of the Device Discovery utility. It is available through your account at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/roomalert.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">RoomAlert.com<\/a> as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi only<\/strong>: set the unit&#8217;s password back to the default, &#8220;PASSWORD.&#8221; You may change the password back after the firmware update completes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Perform the update from a computer on the same local subnet as the Room Alert Monitor.
