Log in to your account at <a href=\"http:\/\/roomalert.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RoomAlert.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><em>In order to edit parts of an alert, you must log in as an admin-level or operator-level user. For more information, please see the \u201cTypes of user roles\u201d section of our FAQ, <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/23734\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Select <strong>Alerts<\/strong> from the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. In your <em>Alert List<\/em> tab, you&#8217;ll see a list of all of your configured alerts. Two tabs will appear for&nbsp;the custom email template:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; In <em>Triggered<\/em>, you can customize the notification&nbsp;that will be sent when an alert is triggered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211;&nbsp;In <em>Cleared<\/em>, you can customize the notification&nbsp;that will be sent when an alert clears.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. Both the Triggered and Cleared templates populate with the default text for the&nbsp;<em>Subject<\/em> and <em>Body<\/em> fields.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">5. Put your cursor into any of these fields to begin editing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; You can highlight, cut, copy, paste, delete and type static text, as you would in a text editing program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; You can also insert keywords into both the <em>Subject <\/em>and <em>Body<\/em> fields.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h4>Next, enter keywords<\/h4>\n<p>Keywords, which appear in capital letters inside brackets, are placeholders for specific information that will appear in the actual email.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the keyword [ALERT_NAME] in the default alert subject would be replaced with the name of our alert, \u201cExample RA12E Internal Sensor Alert,\u201d when the alert email is sent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">To enter a keyword:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">1. Place your cursor where you&#8217;d like to insert the keyword.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">2. Select the<strong> Insert&nbsp;Keyword<\/strong>&nbsp;button to open the <em>Keywords<\/em> window.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Insert_Keyword-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5635\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Insert_Keyword-1.png\" alt=\"Insert_Keyword\" width=\"500\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Insert_Keyword-1.png 829w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Insert_Keyword-1-300x128.png 300w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Insert_Keyword-1-768x327.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">3.
